National Novel Writing Month

The Goal: 50,000 words

The Challenge: 3 kids (2 homeschooling & a

baby who wakes up all night) + a recent move 

​

We'll see. But hey, it'll be fun.

Here's where I'll be drafting: my new porch.

UPDATE 2020: I wrote 50,000 words & won!

 

UPDATE 2021: I did a full read-through &

big picture edit of my draft (135,00 words).

AND cut 20,000 words. 

 

UPDATE 2023: As I was turning in edits of

IN THE GREAT QUIET to my agent, I wasn't ready to

finish drafting Book 4 in November. But, I wrote 30,000

words in December and completed the first draft.
